We are preparing Akbar and co for World Cup 2023 : Khaled Mahmud

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director and Game Development Committee Chairman Khaled Mahmud Sujon is seen as a positive for the cricket of the country where many cricketers are coming from the under-19 youth team.

Sujon also said that the cricketers would be prepared for the World Cup 2023 by nursing them properly. At the same time, the next under-19 team would be ready in four months.

The names and faces of the World Cup winners are now the name of the cricket thugs of Bangladesh. So many are calling the dear captain Akbar Ali “Akbar the Great”.

“This is a big sign for cricket. There is a lot of play under our game development, that is the result. Under 14,15,16 are played at three levels. Also, play has been continued in 64 districts throughout the year,”

Khaled Mahmud said.

After the current under-19 team, the youth development team of BCB has made a similar stand. Subsequently, the descendants of the team will be finalized within a few months at the end of the qualifying season of under 14, 15 and 19.

He added, “We have already picked 30-35 players for the U-19 team. From there, they will be prepared for the next Under-19 World Cup in India.”

Khaled Mahmud has been very serious about the current players of under-19 team. The next two years are planned to prepare them for 2023-India World Cup through intensive care.

“Like Shakib, we have to make another all-rounder. There has to be one of the top ten batsmen in the world from Bangladesh. And these World Cup winning players are capable of this,” he said.
