When Russell’s wife Lora gave epic reply to troll on Instagram

Social media often serves as a perfect platform for the netizens to communicate with celebrities or sports personalities. Ever since social media came into existence, fans have been closer to their idols. Most fans are following their favourite athletes and celebrities on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter respectively.

On the dark side, netizens are also using these platforms ineffectively by hurling abuses or by trolling the athletes. When a cricketer fails to deliver the goods, he gets slammed by the fans on social media platforms. During the 13th edition of the IPL, some fans couldn’t control themselves from commenting on Andre Russell’s wife Jassym Lora’s Instagram posts.

In the wake of poor performances in the IPL, Russell was on the receiving end of trolls. The Caribbean who smashed a plethora of sixes with ease in the 12th edition of the IPL has clearly struggled to get going at the United Arab Emirates.

The West Indies international hardly made an impact with the bat as he scored 117 runs in 10 games. While he had a poor run of form with the bat, he was decent with the ball as he took 6 wickets in the league.

One of the fans took to Instagram handle and tried to troll Jassym Lora by coming up with a suggestion. When Andre Russell was not in good form in the IPL, KKR fan trolled the cricketer’s wife on her official Instagram handle by suggesting her to travel to the UAE.

During the coronavirus crisis, cricketers didn’t take their wives along with them to the UAE due to mandatory quarantine procedures. This is the main reason why Russell didn’t take his wife along with him. The fan had suggested Lora to fly to the UAE such that her husband would get back to form.

“Jassym aunty please go to Dubai Russell is not in good form,” the guy wrote. Responding to the comment, Jassym wrote, “He’s in the best form.” Meanwhile, another user wrote: “Is everything ok between you and Russel mam” Lora replied: “I think so why.”

Russell made a terrific comeback in the Lankan Premier League. Representing Colombo Kings in the Sri Lanka franchise cricket, he scored a blistering knock during the match against Galle Gladiators.

The powerful man brought up his fifty off just 14 balls, which was the fastest fifty in LPL. Russell’s incredible feat was also the third joint-fastest fifty in T20s.
