Windies announce Test squad for Indian tour


Windies Cricket Board has announced the full schedule and the squad for Test series for the Indian tour featuring two Tests, five ODIs and 3 T20Is.

Indian cricket team is all set to host Windies a full series of two Tests, five One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals before the start of their Australian tour.

Currently Indian Cricket team is in the last stage of their England with two more test matches to play. After the end of English tour they will participate in Asia Cup in UAE from September 15th.

After the Asia Cup and Windies series, India will tour to Australia for a full series of all three formats.

At the same time the visitors are currently hosting their biggest T20 league Carribean Premier League. After the end of CPL season Windies will have this Indian tour.

On 29th August Windies Cricket Board has announced the full schedule and the squad for the Indian tour.

In the press release the selection board announced the above things and also congratulated their men for an awesome series with Bangladesh.

“The panel congratulates Jason Holder and his team on the excellent performance against Bangladesh. As the team embarks on a tough tour of India the successes against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh should hold them in good stead during the India series.

The panel welcomes back Sunil Ambris who missed the last couple of series due to injury, along with Jomel Warrican who adds a second spin bowling option to the attack.”

Series schedule:

1st Test – October 4-8, Rajkot

2nd Test – October 12-16, Hyderabad

1st ODI – October 21, Guwahati

2nd ODI – October 24, Indore

3rd ODI – October 27, Pune

4th ODI – October 29, Mumbai

5th ODI – November 1, Thiruvananthapuram

1st T20I – November 4, Kolkata
2nd T20I – November 6, Kanpur/Lucknow

3rd T20I – November 11, Chennai
