Dowrich and Bishoo put on 102 runs for the seventh wicket to put the pressure back on Sri Lanka. Bishoo played 165 balls for his 40 runs. Dowrich went on to score his second Test hundred in 282 balls. He spent 399 minutes to get his hundred, which is the fourth-slowest hundred in terms of minutes by a West Indian.

The wicket-keeper batsman got another tail-ender to support him in the innings. In the 75-run eighth-wicket stand, Kemar Roach made 39 off 95 hitting 6 fours and a six.

Windies declared the innings five balls after Roach’s dismissal. Miguel Cummins faced those five deliveries. The hosts put on 414/8 in 154 overs. Dowrich stayed unbeaten for his career-best 325-ball 125 runs including 12 boundaries. Lahiru Kumara was Sri Lanka’s standout bowler for 4/95.

It was time for Windies pacers to shine. Opening bowlers Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel troubled Sri Lanka. Roach got Kusal Perera’s wickets on the second ball of the innings as Perera threw his hands at a ball way outside the off-stump. Kusal Mendis couldn’t click as Gabriel got him.

Sri Lanka skipper Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Mathews took blows on them. Mathews was dismissed by opposition captain Jason Holder for 11. The tourists are tumbling on 31/3 after 10 overs. Chandimal is on 31-ball 3* with Roshen Silva at the other end.
