Debutant Yasir Ali was struck on the helmet by a bouncer from Shaheen Shah Afridi in the 30th over of the seconds innings in the ongoing Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Despite continuing for a while, Yasir decided to walk back at 36*. Later it was confirmed that Yasir will not be continuing in this Test match, and Nurul Hasan Sohan will be the one replacing him.
Yasir came in to bat when Bangladesh were in deep waters. The Tigers were stumbling at 25/4 in Day 3 when he came in to bat. He lost his partner Mushfiqur Rahim early in the day, but kept the fightback going on with Liton Das by his side.
Yasir was taken to the Imperial Care Hospital. While the scan reports did not suggest anything serious, Yasir will still be kept under observation for a day.
Nurul Hasan, who is a wicketkeeper usually, will not be allowed to be the wicketkeeper for this match, due to the "like for like replacement" rule. Nurul got out for 15, as he holed out to long on.
