Yuvraj and Pant beat Kohli and Dhoni in most searched personalities in 2019
Every star cricketer in India has a massive fan-base. The players’ vital contribution to Indian cricket in crunch situations of the game is so important and which is why they have been able to earn the trust of the fans. Besides watching their favourite players live during a cricket match, fans also watch highlights and track the latest episodes of cricketers.
Recently, Google India released a data which shows the list of most searched Indian cricketers on the search engine in 2019. Interestingly, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant have come out on top to beat captain Virat Kohli and former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the list of most searched personalities on Google in 2019.
It should be noted that Yuvraj Singh and Rishabh Pant as the only two sportspersons in the list updated by Google. The search engine also has personalities from the Indian Air Force, Bollywood and a renowned educator.
After his retirement from international cricket earlier this year, Yuvraj led Toronto Nationals in the second season of the Global T20 League 2019. Yuvraj also featured for Maratha Arabians in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
Coming to Rishabh Pant, he came under fire for performing very poor with the bat and with the gloves. The 21-year old player has been plenty of chances to prove himself worthy of potential wicketkeeper-batsman. But unfortunately, he hasn’t done so.
In the 28 games that he has played across formats this year, he scored 657 runs at an average of 28.56 and a strike rate of 91.37 including only one century and half-century each. However, he will be looking forward to sorting his woe to get back on track.
