Yuvraj urges fans, critics to be patient with Shivam Dube
The young all-rounder Shivam Dube came under fire recently after leaking as many as 34 runs in a single over in the fifth and final T20I game against New Zealand at Bay Oval. Dube was thrashed by Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor to all parts of the ground and thus Dube bowled second-most expensive over in the shortest format of the game.
Following the disastrous over, many fans took to their respective social media platforms to vent out their frustration on Dube calling him ‘useless cricketer’. Some even wanted him to be replaced by any other cricketer. However, former India star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh thinks otherwise.
According to Yuvraj, Dube is still in the learning phase and reckons that the youngster should be given more time so much so that he can unleash his true potential in the near future. Yuvraj Singh wants the fans to be patient with Shivam Dube and is pretty much confident that Dube would bounce back.
“Shivam Dube I think is a good talent, but you have to give him time,” Yuvraj Singh told Sport360 on the sidelines of the Expo 2020 Dubai cricket final.
“Looking at Dube, you have to give the guy a bit of time and we will see in the future who comes out with the consistent performances,” Yuvraj Singh concluded.
