The two changed for the series decider of Gillette ODI against India costed Jason Behrendorff and Nathan Lyon making way out of the team. Behrendorff has been through a sore back, an injury that he sustained for a long time while Lyon was axed to place Zampa in in the team.

Melbourne Renegades paceman Kane Richardson has also been called into the squad as cover.

“I think he’s been really impressive,” Finch said about off-spinner Lyon after the squad announced.

“Obviously not getting a wicket, he’d have liked a bit more return for that.

“When he keeps bowling that well, he will get rewarded eventually,” he added.
