The World Cup qualifiers are just turning into a massive content between the sides and the matches are going down to the wire including the twist and turns.

Few days ago, Zimbabwe defeated Afghanistan by only 2 runs and on Monday, Zimbabwe were part of another thrilling encounter and this time it resulted as a tie against Scotland. After Zimbabwe gave a target of 211 runs, Scotland were bowled out for 210 runs to see the match end in a tie.

Zimbabwe after winning the toss elected to bat first and opener Solomon Mire played a decent innings of 35. They lost some quickly wickets in the middle overs, but Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine guided Zimbabwe to a fighting total in a tricky pitch.

In reply to Zimbabwe’s 210, opener Kyle Coetzar played a quick innings of 39 from 37 balls before departing. The middle order couldn’t contribute except Richie who scored 47 runs. After his dismissal, Scotland lost some quick wickets and the game was going out of their hands.
