10 Indian cricketers who might not play T20Is again
India recently had a terrific T20I outing in Australia, winning the three-match T20I series 2-1. In 2020, India played 10 shorter formats of the game and lost only one game. This shows the sheer dominance of men in blue in the shorter format of the game.
Indian Premier League also plays a major role in this context by bringing in so many youngsters into the game. In fact, the waiting list for the national team in shorter format gets increasing day by day. Youngsters like Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Nitish Rana are waiting for their opportunity to represent India.
This situation has made one thing clear that some of the Indian players who were on the national T20I side, will never get a chance to play again. Let’s have a look at such ten players, who are finding it rare to play T20Is for India again.
Indian Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane made his T20I debut in 2011 against England. He played 20 T20Is for India and scored 375 runs. His strike rate is not much suitable for the format and that’s why he is even finding it difficult to be a star player in IPL. He played his last T20I game in 2016 against the Windies.
