I am happy with my bowling: Miraz

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the former U-19 captain of Bangladesh now plays for the senior team. Though he is an all-rounder, he is known as a bowler in the national team as he bats down the order and doesn’t get enough chance to prove himself with the but. But the young star has certainly proved himself with the ball. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ বোলিংকেই বেছে নিচ্ছেন মিরাজ]

Miraz is now satisfied with his bowling and wants to concentrate only on that. During Wednesday’s practice session, Miraz said to press: “Actually the batting order Bangladesh have now, I have to bat down the order. But I am still happy. If I can get chance, then I will surely try to perform well. I have a dream to play many matches for Bangladesh. On the other hand, I will try to improve my batting so that I can bat up the order.”

The all-rounder is happy with he is doing with the ball at the moment: “I am now in the team as a bowler. If I get chance to do well in both the sectors, I will give all my effort. But I am happy at the moment, my bowling has been good lately. Bowling is important too. I have to perform better in the upcoming matches.”

When asked about his new captain and vice-captain, Miraz said: “I have no special message for them. The communication and understanding between the players is good. Captain or vice-captain means nothing, at the end of the day it is seen that everyone plays for the country. No matter who is the captain, he is playing for the team, for the country too.”

The young all-rounder also said his new year resolution is to gift more good performances to the country: “Shakib bhai has told me that we have a lot of matches in 2018. I hope everyone stays fit and give their best. As we have a lot of matches to play, we have a chance to climb higher. It will be possible if we can play well.”
