Abhishek will help India win a lot of games in future: Rashid

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) spinner Rashid Khan has said that Indian youngster Abhishek Sharma will be a proper all-rounder for India national team surely and win lots of games for his team. He claimed that after his side’s huge 9-wicket win against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Wednesday in Chennai.

With that, SRH won their first match in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL). Before that, they lost three on the trot.

Abhishek ended the match with a great bowling figure of 4-0-24-2 as SRH registered an easy win over PBKS. After the match, Rashid and Abhishek got together for a chat. Here the Afghan all-rounder told to Abhishek: “Looking at the way you bowl, your hard work and skills, it looks like you will be a proper all-rounder for India in the future. You will help India win a lot of games. You have the skill and ability, and if you work hard you will definitely reap the rewards.”

The 20-year old all-rounder Abhishek also opened the first innings bowling the first over of the match. He shared an interesting incident regarding this. “I was practising my bowling a lot. But suddenly when we were in the huddle, David Warner said ‘You are going to bowl the first over.’ I didn’t hear it clearly so I asked him again to confirm! I have been practising with the new ball, you and Muralitharan sir has helped me a lot. I was confident, wasn’t blank about whether I would be able to bowl,” he revealed.

SRH’s next task will be against Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 25 in Chennai.
