Adil Rashid donates relief packages to earthquake victims
England leg-spinner Adil Rashid donated relief packages to the earthquake victims in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir’s Mirpur region on Tuesday.
Pakistan Occupied Kashmir’s Mirpur region suffered an earthquake with 5.8 magnitudes Richter scale and according to reports, 37 people lost their lives and almost 500 people were injured.
England leg-spinner Adil Rashid, who has a special place for Pakistan visited the affected areas and donated the packages.
After donating the packages, Rashid insisted that he has special affection for the people of Mirpur.
“I have a special affection for Mirpur because my parents were born here and I am in Pakistan for the people who are in desperate need of help,” he said.
The leg-spinner hasn’t played since the World Cup in England as he suffered a shoulder injury. However, he is now fully fit and likely to be back in action very soon.
