Al-Amin isn't in the team but that doesn't mean he is finished: Hathurusingha
After a break of ten months Bangladesh National Cricket team are making their comeback in the one-day format of the game today. Tigers will face Afghanistan National Cricket team in the first match of the bilateral series today at 2:30 PM . Match will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket stadium, Mirpur. But from the moment of the declaration of thirteen-member squad for the first two One-day international of that bilateral series Bangladeshi spectators have become a little bit worried . Many of them aren’t happy with this thirteen-member squad. Specially the absence of Al-Amin Hossain who played good cricket for Bangladesh in the recent past has become the most visible part of questioning. Finally, Chandika Hathurusingha, the head coach of the tigers has opened his mouth on this topic.
While talking about this during press-conference yesterday tiger’s boss said – “He ( Al-Amin) isn’t in the team but that doesn’t mean he is finished! The picture could be different if we would play with a different team. I just wanted to provide best bowling line-up with a lots of verity for the captain. He ( Al-Amin) played really well in the past. But Shofiul is also a good bowler when he is fit. We called him just for the the two matches and want to see how he delivers.”
Besides, this Lankan gentleman talked about the absence of Arafat Sunny too. He said – “Taijul wasn’t getting chance because Sunny was doing well. But whenever he got the opportunity he delivered with the ball. I m optimistic that he will do well like Sunny. Even it can be better than him. Look, the problem of Taskin and Sunny is quite different. Sunny had to change his action a lot. That’s why we want to let him play in domestic cricket first. He needs to be used to with his new bowling action. And we will watch his performances in domestic cricket.”
