This laboratory has got official permission from ICC recently and Al – Amin is going to be the first bowler to be examined in this laboratory. Bangladesh will face Zimbabwe in the first test in 25th of October. Due to his injury problems Al – Amin was not available to give official tests. Bangladesh Cricket Board asked for an extended time schedule and ICC allotted the time between 20 to 24th of October.
Earlier International Cricket Council asked to test Al – Amin’s action in 3rd of October in Leicestershire National Performance Center, England. But Al – Amin’s side strain restrained him from maintaining that schedule. After BCB’s request for time extension, ICC re – schedule the time and replace the venue also. Nazmul Abedin, BCB’s game development manager will accompany Al – Amin in the Chennai. In the previous occasion the board faced much criticism for sending spinner Sohag Gazi all alone in Cardiff to face the challenge.
ICC has given official permission to the Brisbane National Cricket Center along with Chennai Sri Ram Chandra Laboratory. But there were several official tests done in that laboratory before the official permission. Pakistani star spinner Saed Ajmal was banned after testing in that laboratory several weeks earlier.
