“This is quite spontaneous. We have been playing against each other for ten years. Mushfiqur is an incredible captain and cricketer. He is one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen in the world,”

Amla said.

“Hope we will share our experience for the team,” he added.

Denying of any sort of inconvenience of adjustment for joining with the team in the middle of the competition, Hashim Amla said, “It will be easy after appearing in few matches. Any cricketer has to adjust quickly with the team in franchise leagues.”

Amla expressed his pleasure receiving the opportunity of playing in BPL. He said, “It feels good to be here. I like the cricketing environment in Bangladesh. I would like to thank all for giving me the opportunity of playing in BPL. It’s been a wonderful time here.”

Bangladesh provoke manifold memories for Amla. In 2008, he played in the Test match against Bangladesh when Graeme Smith and Neil McKenzie conjured record opening partnership for South Africa.

“Yes, we played two famous Test matches here. Probably I first came to Bangladesh being a part of ODI team of South Africa in 2008. We have had quite a good memories here,” he said.
