Former Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble has been appointed as the new head coach of IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab ahead of the Indian Premier League 2020.

In such a process, Kings XI Punjab have named former Indian leggie Anil Kumble as their new head coach as well as the major director of operations for the franchise. Earlier there were some reports claimed about Kumble’s new stint and now it is officially confirmed by the franchise itself.

The former Indian Test captain has a good experience in coaching in Indian Premier League as well as at international level. He had a good journey with Indian team also before stepping down as the head coach following some internal conflicts in the team management. Anil Kumble was with Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore as mentor in previous seasons.

Kings XI Punjab are desperate for a strong season, next year after a poor show in 2019. Mike Hesson was the head coach for the franchise in last season and he was also a new appointment in that season. The franchise was never been consistent so far in the completed editions of the league.
