Asia Cup 2018: Afghanistan jolts with setback

Ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2018, all the teams have already announced their final squad for the tournament. The teams tried to pick their best possible players for this exciting rivalry among the Asian teams.

Meanwhile,  with only a few days left before the tournament starts, Afghanistan jolted with a huge setback as their young pacer  Wafadar Momand who has been impressive in recent times, has sustained a back injury and that has taken him out the tournament now.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have already announced a replacement for the injured cricketer.  Yamin Ahmadzai who is mainly a right-handed batsman and also bowls right-arm medium-fast has been included to the squad as a replacement for Wafadar Momand.

Earlier, Yamin was included among the standby players when the cricket board announced their team for the Asia Cup 2018. He already traveling with the squad as a standby player for the upcoming event.

The 26-year old Yamin also did well in the past in Afghanistan national team. However, it is definitely a big set back for the Afghans to loss an inform player like Wafadar Momand.
