Bangladesh post highest total vs Sri Lanka
Bangladesh have recorded their highest ODI total against Sri Lanka. Posting 300+ total for the first time against the hosts, the Tigers have made 324 for five in the first ODI at Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh’s previous highest score against Sri Lanka in ODIs was 265/9 at Mohali in the 2006 Champions Trophy. Today in the series opener, Bangladesh have posted 324 runs for five wickets after Tamim Iqbal slammed a century (124 runs).
This is the third time in 49 ODI matches a 300+ total has been posted at Dambulla. Bangladesh have made a 300+total for the tenth time. 324/5 is the third highest total for them in ODIs. It is behind 329/6 and 326/3, both against Pakistan in 2015 and 2014.
This total is Bangladesh’s highest in overseas. The previous highest was 322/4 vs Scotland at Nelson in 2015 World Cup.
