Bangladesh to play three T20s in Sri Lanka?

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was scheduled to send its national team to Sri Lanka earlier this year in July for a three-match Test series which was part of the ICC World Test Championship.BCB CEO

But eventually, the tour was postponed due to the global pandemic situation. Now after a few months, seeing a number of countries returning to international cricket by maintaining a bio-secure environment for the players both on and off the field, BCB also took the initiative to reschedule the delayed series against Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, the BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury has revealed that the boards are in a discussion to include a three-match T20I series along with the Test series.

“We are in communication with Sri Lanka Cricket board. Initially, we had a discussion on having a three-match Test series, and later proposal to include a three-match T20I series was included,” said BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury to the media on Monday.

According to the BCB high-up, they are currently working on the formats they would like to play and then the tour schedule will be finalized.

“We will discuss it [within BCB] and inform of our final decision. We are yet to finalize the tour schedule. We will first need to decide on the formats we would like to play and then work on the schedule,” he added.
