Bangladesh U-19 announce squad for Asia Cup

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced 15-man squad for the u-19 Asia Cup, which is set to start from September 5.

With less than a week to go for the start of the U-19 Asia Cup, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced 15-member squad for the tournament on Saturday.

Wicket-keeper batsman Akbar Ali has been named the captain of the side while Towhid Hridoy is the vice-captain. The youngsters will leave for Colombo from Dhaka on Tuesday to play the tournament.

Bangladesh u-19 are in Group B with UAE,  Nepal and the hosts Sri Lanka. Their opening game is against UAE, whom they will face on September 6 while they will play their second game against Nepal on September 8. They will face the hosts Sri Lanka on September 10.

SQUAD: Akbar Ali (Captain), Towhid Hridoy (Vice Captain), Rakibul Hasan, Mirttunjoy Chowdhury Nipun, Shariful Islam, Tanzid Hasan Tanim, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mohammad Parvez Hossain Emon, Mohammad Shahin Alom, Anik Sarker, Minhazur Rahman Mohanna, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Ashraful Islam Siam, Shamim Hossain and Shahadat Hossain.
