Bangladesh’s 2015 victory over England selected as best moment of WC
Which is the best moment of the ODI World Cup held so far? In fact, it is difficult to choose. That’s why the International Cricket Council (ICC) has arranged a vote to choose the best moment.
And in the final of that vote, by beating India’s moment of winning the 2011 World Cup, the moment of Bangladesh’s victory over England in the 2015 World Cup has been selected as the best moment in the World Cup history.
In the 2015 ODI World Cup jointly organized by Australia and New Zealand, Bangladesh showed a surprise by defeating strong England in the group stage. The Tigers won the match by 15 runs under the leadership of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. And this moment of victory is the best in the end.
Earlier, this moment of Bangladesh’s victory went beyond rounds 64, 32 and 16 and they faced their another moment in the quarter finals. That was the story of India’s defeat to Bangladesh in 2007 West Indies World Cup. However, the moment of the 2015 World Cup won.
Later in the semi-finals, Bangladesh had to fight that happy memory with a catch moment by Indian captain Kapil Dev in the 1983 England World Cup final. Kapil caught the West Indies batsman by running in a dramatic style. But even in this stage, Bangladesh’s 2015 World Cup moment won and in the end it also nominated as the best World Cup moment so far.
