Like cricketers, coaches get less chance to come into the limelight. But the talent, labor, and sweat of the coaches are involved behind the development of every cricketer. This time, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has awarded 6 coaches of the country as the best coaches of the year.
BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury, board director Khaled Mahmud Sujon, Obed Nizam and other officials attended the best coach of the year award ceremony on Thursday (September 29).
The coaches who got the status of the best coach of the year for the season 2021-22 are- Chandpur district coach Syed Shamim Akhtar Farooqui, Satkhira district coach Mohammad Mufassinul Islam Topu, Tangail district coach Mohammad Arafat Rahman, Thakurgaon district coach Mohammad Roknuzzaman Rahat, Khulna divisional coach Kazi Emdadul Bashar Ripon and Chattogram Divisional coach Mohammad Mominul Haque.
These coaches are selected based on their success in producing national-level cricketers. Several talented cricketers have come up in the pipeline of Bangladesh in recent times under the hands of 6 award-winning coaches.
Thakurgaon district coach Mohammad Roknuzzaman Rahat said in a tearful voice while expressing his feelings to BDCricTime, “I have lost my father and mother in a span of 9 months. I’m remembering them again and again. They would have been very happy after hearing this.”
