BCCI calls applications for Indian support staff panel
Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has called applications for each important member in the support staff panel of Indian cricket team.
India recently had a shocking defeat in the semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against England after a dominating show in the league stage. Following the defeat in semi-final there are lot of things going around the team which are quite shocking.
One of those things is the support staff panel mainly head coach, batting coach and bowling coach who are highly criticised for India’s loss on the semi-final.
In the meantime, Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has called applications for several positions of the coaching and support staff, including head coach, bowling coach, fielding coach, physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach and a administrative manager.
This procedure is a follow back right after the tenures of Shanker Basu (strength and conditioning coach) and Patrick Farhart (team physio) came to an end after India’s defeat to New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semifinal.
The interested candidates should submit their applications before 5pm on July 30th. For the likes of Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Bangar and Bharat Arun – the key members of the incumbent backroom staff, there is an automatic entry into the recruitment process.
Ravi Shastri was appointed as the head coach after the exit of Anil Kumble from the position. At the same time the head coach is given an extended 45 days after the end of his contract period.
