Behrendorff cut India to level the series for Australia 27 year old left arm fast bowler Jason Behrendorff led Australia to break the vicious losing streak against India in this season’s tour. The win margin was rather emphatic for the visitors; an 8 wicket victory in the second T20I at Guwahati leveled the two sides in the series.

India batted first; despite playing all 20 overs of the match, could not run the run machine they usually plundered in the season’s matches against Australia.

Behrendorff started right at the top, ripping up opener Rohit Sharma, and continued so.

It was a total extermination by Jason Behrendorff; he plucked up top four batsmen of the Indian batting line up one after another from which India could never recovered in the match.

27 was the highest score of the home team, made by Jadhav while Hardik Pandya scored 25.

In reply, Australia started quite shakenly losing two early wickets that of two openers Aaron Finch and David Warner both departed within 13 runs of team score.

But Moises Henriques and Tim Head resurrected from the team and shielded from losing any further wicket.

The visitors reached the winning target comfortably losing the initial two wickets and 27 balls remaining in hand.
