Team Bangladesh is all set to encounter Sri Lanka in the T20I series after balancing the Test and ODI series 1 – 0. Eagerly waiting for a series win outside the country, the Tigers are seemingly precipitated to perform better in the shortest version of cricket.
Whilst talking to one of the leading online portals Dhaka Times, Bangladesh Cricket Board’s senior assistant vice – president Mahbubul Anam recollect the hardships Bangladesh had to face all through the journey of international cricket.
Mr. Mahbubul Anam said Bangladesh was always under pressure for not being able to perform well in Test cricket that had been quite released after winning the Test match against England.
“Board has set a goal to achieve in Test cricket. We aim of winning at least 25% of Test matches in each season to come. We have so far won in just 9 matches out of total 100 we played. We want to double the amount” – he said.
Appreciating the accomplishment in Sri Lanka, BCB Vice – President said, “It was an impossible task to defeat Sri Lanka in their own soil. They have 15 out of 18 matches they played last at home. You know this Sri Lankan team white washed Australia some six months ago. We are really proud of our cricketers.”
“We really have able to build up skilled cricketers like Shakib, Tamim, Mustafizur. Look at Shakib Al Hasan, he remains in the number one position for so long period of time that no one could held before” – Mahbubul Anam surmised.
