Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu who is with the team now as team manager in absence of regular manager Khaled Mahmud Shujon, expressed his astonishment upon the incident.

He said, “I know they went to have dinner outside; the casino might also be there. I’ve heard de Villiers and Rabada were also there. I will ask them clearly about the incident after we will reach Bloemfontein.”

Board President Nazmul Hasan Papon also echoed with Minhajul Abedin Nannu but delivered that the board will go through a detail investigation on the matter.

“There is shopping mall adjacent to the team hotel. The three named cricketers went there for dinner. Later they gossiped with de Villiers and Rabada and then went to visit the casino. They did not play in casino I know. But returning in the team hotel after 10 pm at night is clearly a breach of discipline and the board will surely investigate the matter,” he said.
