Boycott brutally criticizes Jason Roy

Jason Roy’s limited-overs cricket might have started well, but the opener has found it really hard to click in the longer format of the game.

Jason Roy
Things were absolutely going like a fairytale for English opener Jason Roy. He had a phenomenal World Cup and was one of the key reason, who helped the hosts to lift the World Cup for the first time. Just after this tournament, he also made his Test debut and that too in the  Ashes.

But things started to go against him since then as he failed to perform in any of the Test matches so far and after yet another failure in the third Test, he might have lost his place in the side.

Roy maybe knows that as well as he was absolutely furious with himself after getting bowled by Pat Cummins in the second innings. He cursed in anger and was seen screaming ‘f*** off’ as he walked off the pitch at Headingley on Saturday.

Meanwhile, former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott criticized the batsman brutally after England bowled out for only 67 runs in the first innings.

“I don’t care how many runs he makes in the second innings. If he plays another Test as an opener, then someone wants his brains tested,” he said.

Roy has scored only 57 runs in six innings in this series. England need 203 runs to win the Test match and keep them alive in the Ashes while Australia need seven wickets to retain the urn.
