BPL players’ draft postponed

The players’ draft for the Bangladesh Premier League 2018 season has been postponed.

Putting the reason in front, BPL governing council said the change has made due to the upcoming home series against Zimbabwe.

The draft now will be held on October 28 instead of previously settled October 25.

On Thursday, BPL governing council member secretary Ismail Haider Mollick told to the media, “Yes the date of players draft is changed as we will be busy with the Zimbabwe series.”

Starting on 21st of October, the three match series against Zimbabwe is scheduled to take place on 24th and 26th of this month respectively.

Mr. Mollick said, “We have got two ODI in Chittagong on October 24 and 26 and so it will be difficult to host the players draft in Dhaka on October 25.”

The three match ODI series will be followed by two Test matches beginning on November 3.
