Under the tutelage of Virat Kohli since 2014, India have successfully got the better of oppositions 29 times, which also makes Virat Kohli the most successful skipper in the longest format with a good win percentage of 58.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni who captained India in 60 Tests from 2008-2014 managed to secure 27 wins, while Ganguly led his team to 21 victories between 2002 and 2005.
It is worth mentioning the fact that Virat Kohli became the first Indian skipper to win a Test series in Australia and is now hoping to create a new record of 10 straight home series victories.
India currently lead the three-Test series against South Africa 1-0 and they need just one more win to beat the record they share with Australia.
Talking about the second Test match, India currently are at the top against South Africa. They have scored 273/3 at the end of day one dominating the bowlers at will.
Mayank Agarwal essayed his second century of the series, Cheteshwar Pujara scored his second fifty of the series while Kohli brought up his 23rd Test fifty to put the team in a rock-solid position.
