BCB president had been much serious after losing the T20I series miserably and first Test by an innings and 44 runs.

That’s why he had talked mainly about the plans of the national team with head selector Nannu and head coach Domingo. But not only the players of the national team or the team management, the president of BCB, thought that the committee had been also responsible for that.

The Cricket Operations Committee has the responsibility of looking after the good, bad, tour or other things of the national team. The current chairman of the committee is former national captain Akram Khan. In recent times, the question of the role of the Cricket Operations Committee has been naturally raised in the negative performance of the national team.

On the other hand, the Game Development Committee is responsible for all the responsibilities of the age-based team. The chairman of the committee is another former captain Khaled Mahmud Sujon. The Game Development Committee is a major contributor to the under-19 team’s World Cup win.

If the game development committee can bring such great success to the young team’s cricketers, why can’t the Cricket Operations Committee, along with the tested and established performers of the national team? – After U-19s World Cup win, this question has been loudly spoken at the top of the cricket board.

It is heard that due to the disappointing performance of the national team, the changes in the Standing Committee are coming. Akram Khan may be relieved of the post of chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee. Instead, Naimur Rahman Durjoy, the first Test captain in the country, can take over. He is currently the chairman of the HP unit.

Not only the Cricket Operations Committee but also the Cricket Facilities, another 2-3 committees are being considered for a change, said a trusted source of Cricket Board. Among these, Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan, chairman of Facilities, is currently in-charge. BCB is thinking of assigning someone new in his place soon.

The squad for Zimbabwe Test to be announced on Sunday (February 15th). The five-day match will begin on February 22. Before this test, it was not certain whether the decision to change the Standing Committee would be made. But it is a sure sign that the board is going to change before going to play the second Test in Pakistan.
