Charge sheet filed against Mohammad Shami

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami suffered a major blow on Thursday when a charge sheet was filed against him by the Kolkata Police.

The charge sheet was given under IPC 498A (dowry harassment) and 354A (sexual harassment) on Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan’s complaint.

Shami was just about to overcome personal troubles and revived fitness before the Indian Premier League season this year. He also seems to set to travel to England for the World Cup.

In the year of 2018, Mohammed Shami went through tough times losing his place in the Indian national following fitness and personal issues. He was also sidelined from the majority of the matches by Delhi Daredevils in last year’s IPL.

In March last year, he was accused of domestic violence and extra-marital affairs by his wife. The case was probe by the BCCI’s Anti-Corruption officials after there were allegations that Shami took money from Pakistan contacts.

Jahan took to social media to post screenshots of Shami’s alleged affairs with other women.

Subsequently he was dropped from the team failing the yo-yo test.

But the 29 year old pacer made a grand comeback in limited over cricket this year along with performing well against England and Australia.

According to further reports revealed, as the hearing of the case will be done on June 22, Shami’s participation in the forthcoming World Cup is in hazard now. The Indian squad for the mega ICC event announced by April 23.
