“Sun TV Group (SunRisers Hyderabad) is donating Rs.10 Crores towards Corona Covid-19 relief measures.”

In a tweet message, the captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, David Warner praised the decision.

Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders also donated to the Prime Minister’s Fund. Besides, several cricketers including Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina extended their support to help the helpless people.

Relatively, Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan played from Bangladesh for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, Shakib will not be able to participate in the IPL this year due to the International Cricket Council (ICC) ban.

The 13th edition of the IPL was expected to start from March 29. But due to the deadly coronavirus pandemic, the IPL 2020 had been suspended until April 15. However, the governing council of IPL is thinking to arrange this year’s IPL in October-November window but there is a condition behind this. If this year’s T20 World Cup which is going to start on October is postponed due to the coronavirus, then only this will happen.
