Ariful’s performance in the past few days had thrown the hard hitting tag into question. But he proved wrong everyone and showed his hard hitting skill once again. At the end of the match, he said that he tried his utter best and for this, he was able to bring win for his team.

“I have tried as much as I could. I succeeded, that’s all. Alhamdulillah,” Ariful said.

Seeing the Khulna squad at the end of the draft, everyone mentioned them as ‘favourite’. From then on, Barishal captain Tamim Iqbal himself described his team as less powerful.

However, Ariful claimed that cricket is such a game of uncertainty. “I am actually on the field after a long time. It can happen. Cricket is an one-ball game. We may be a good team in paper, but we have to win every match we play. Cricket is not played knowing one’s own team good. Today such a situation will come, but the next day it can be seen that we win easily,” concluded.
