Dean Jones disagrees with Yuvraj Singh’s stance on Rishabh Pant
Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones criticized former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh’s stance on the Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant.
Indian wcket-keeper Rishabh Pant is among high criticisms nowadays as he is continuously failing with the bat in the recent times. At the moment he is been considered as the replacement for former skipper MS Dhoni in all three formats of the game.
The left-handed batsman had a good start to his Test career as a wicket-keeper batsman. But in recent days, he is having continuous failures and that has raised questions on his place in the Indian team since some youngsters like Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan are knocking the door of selectors.
In the meantime, former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh came in support for the young wicket-keeper batsman quoting that he needs some time and space to play his natural game and the team management needs to understand Rishabh Pant’s thinking process and work with him to get the best out of him.
In reply to Yuvraj Singh’s statement, former Australian cricketer Dean Jones said that Rishabh Pant should not receive any special treatment and he should asses and correct his mistakes quickly.
“Why should Pant be any different to any other young player that has made mistakes? It’s big boys cricket. I know he is young.. but he needs to learn some home truths and improve his off- side play!,” Dean Jones quoted in his official Twitter handle.
