This year’s edition of the Indian Premier League is on the verge of it’s closing with only playoffs and final left. The playoff stage of the tournament kickstarting today with the qualifier one between Mumbai Indians and Shikhar Dhawan.

In both league games between two teams, Mumbai Indians had a dominating hand and they are coming into the game as favorites for the game. In the last game between the two franchises, Delhi Capitals even struggled hard to cross 100 runs mark.

But Delhi Capitals left-handed opening batsman is confident of making the best out of themselves in the most important game. He further feels that they can get some advantage over Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma as the right-handed batsman was out of the game for few games due to injury. The Mumbai Indians’ captain made a comeback in their last game and was seen struggling a bit with the bat.

“Rohit is a very good player, and he hasn’t played many matches so, I am not sure about his touch, and that means that we can definitely take advantage of it. My best wishes to him, but yes as opponents, we can take advantage of that for sure and make plans accordingly,” said Dhawan.

Further, the left-handed opening batsman termed this edition of IPL as the best one for himself. The left-handed batsman scored back to back centuries this season and was able to ensure his place in the Indian cricket team.

“I have been scoring five hundred runs over the last 4 years. All the seasons are my best seasons, in that case. But it’s special because I scored two centuries and two ducks, which I never did. Happy that I can perform consistently and provide a great start to my team, great platform to my team. As far as I am concerned, all the seasons are good for me. I have been playing with a good mindset this season as well,” he added.
