The Indian cricketer MS Dhoni had reportedly appeared before the Delhi High Court and alleged that Maxx Mobilink Pvt Ltd is misusing his name.
According to reports, Dhoni said that the mobile company is still projecting him as a brand ambassador, though the contract ended in 2012.
The Wicket-Keeper batsman also alleged the company had defaulted on paying the cricketer his dues.
Notably in a 2014 order, the judge of Delhi High Court, hearing Dhoni’s plea, directed the company to comply with an order, had directed the company to “refrain from selling any products” having the endorsement of Dhoni.
The Indian is in national service playing the Three match Twenty/20 Home series against the England Cricket team.
