“Zimbabwe batsman Craig Ervine will miss the rest of the T20I series against Pakistan after he suffered a right calf muscle strain while fielding during the first match,” Zimbabwe Cricket said in a statement.

Top-order batsman Tarisai Musakanda has been called up for Ervine’s replacement in the team. He has played 9 T20I matches so far for Zimbabwe and scored 168 runs at an average of 18.67.

Meanwhile, the experienced wicket-keeper batsman is likely to return to the team for second T20I after missing the first match with a gastrointestinal infection.

Pakistan are leading the three-match T20I series by 1-0 currently. They won the first match by 11 runs in Harare despite some dismal batting show. The second match of the series is scheduled to play on Friday at the same venue.
