Four bowlers in DPL accused of suspected action

Four bowlers of this season’s Dhaka Premier League (DPL) have been under suspicion of illegal bowling action. All of them are spinners.

They are Sanjit Saha of Kalabagan Krira Chakra, Asif Ahmed Ratul of Prime Bank Cricket Club, Nuruzzaman Masum of Partex Sporting Club and Safiul Hayat of Victoria Sporting Club.

Bangladesh Cricket Board Management Information System manager Nasir Ahmed informed the suspected four bowlers will be examined next week.

He also said, “Sanjit Saha is a potential talent. We are suspecting that he has returned in his earlier action. We want to make sure of it.”

Sanjit has been called to bowl in nets in the practice session of the national team which is going on at the Mirpur Sher – E – Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. He will be under observation in the sessions.

During the Under-19 World Cup last year, Sanjit Saha was accused of illegal bowling action by ICC match officials.
