Ottis Gibson's tenure as Bangladesh's fast bowling coach has ended, while Russell Domingo will continue as the head coach.
Gibson came to Bangladesh with a two-year contract in which Bangladesh won away matches against Zimbabwe and most recently New Zealand in pace-friendly conditions. The Barbadian is now headed to Multan Sultans as their assistant coach and fast bowling coach in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
"Gibson's contract ends this month," Jalal Yunus, Bangladesh Cricket Board's newly appointed cricket operations committee chairman, told the media. "He told us he will not renew contract with us, he will take a job elsewhere. We have to start searching for a new fast bowling coach."
Meanwhile, former Bangladesh head coach Jamie Siddons is returning to Bangladesh as batting consultant in a few weeks' time. Although it is yet to be known if Ashwell Prince will continue with the national side.
"Jamie Siddons is coming as a batting consultant by end of this month or early February," Yunus added.
Domingo's tenure as head coach was scrutinised after Bangladesh's failure at the T20 World Cup and in the home series against Pakistan. But with busy schedule ahead, the South African will continue with the role.
"We don't have any alternative head coach in our hands at the moment," Yunus said  "Honourable board president (Nazmul Hassan Papon) also said that a few days ago. Since we don't have any options and there is an ongoing contract, we are continuing with him (Domingo). If any change takes place it will be in January. You have to wait until board's decision.
"We have a tight schedule - New Zealand tour is followed by BPL, then home series versus Afghanistan and tour of South Africa. For now Domingo remains in the role. We are considering about the whole coaching panel. Gibson is gone, Siddons is coming... we have to reshape the panel."
