Hafeez accused of suspected action for third time For the third time in his international career, Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been reported for suspected bowling action. During the third one day international against Sri Lanka in Dubai, Hafeez bowled 8 overs conceding 39 runs to claim one wicket.

Pakistan has taken an unassailable 3-0 lead against Sri Lanka in the five match series.

In both occasions in the past, Hafeez was suspended from international cricket.

In the latest occasion, the ICC statement said, “Hafeez’s bowling action will now be scrutinized further under the ICC illegal bowling regulations. He is required to undergo testing within 14 days, and, during this period, Hafeez is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the assessments are known.”

Mohammad Hafeez was first suspended from bowling in December 2014 and within 24 months of the first suspension, he was banned from international bowling in July 2015.

Hafeez came back after a reassessment of his action at the National Cricket Center in Brisbane.
