Halsall joins Sussex splitting up with Bangladesh

Showing the reason to accompany his sickly father, Bangladesh national team assistant coach Richard Halsall submitted his resignation letter to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday. The Zimbabwean borne English coach took a leave from the duty of Bangladesh coach during the just completed Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka sighting family inconvenience. BCB, therefore, appointed bowling coach Courtney Walsh as the temporary head coach of the team.

Halsall performed his responsibility as the fielding coach of Sussex for a long period of time. He was there in the period of 1998 to 2006.

Richard Halsall joined with Bangladesh team back in October 2014 as the fielding coach. Later BCB appointed him as the Assistant Head Coach.

After the sudden departure of Chandika Hathurusingha, Richard Halsall was in charge of Bangladesh during the tri-nation series at home and later during the bilateral Test and T20I series against Sri Lanka.
