Hardik Pandya is one of my top 3 cricketers on the planet: Warne

Hardik Pandya is slowly blooming into one of the finest players in world cricket. The all-rounder had earlier clarified that he wouldn’t bowl until he’s completely fit. For now, he is pretty much enjoying his batting. There is no doubt whatsoever he is going to achieve many more things for Team India.

Hardik Pandya is one of my top 3 cricketers on the planet: Warne

In fact, he has impressed the cricket fraternity with his batting masterclass in the limited-overs series against Australia. He missed out on scoring a century two times – once in the first ODI where he was dismissed in the 90s and in the dead rubber fixture where he was also dismissed in the 90s.

The star cricketer continued his sublime touch by scoring quick-fire 42 off 22 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes. His candid cameo helped India win the match by 6 wickets. He was named the man of the match for his powerful knock. India also won the T20I series. The all-rounder was named the player of the series as well.

The 27-year-old all-rounder is not part of the upcoming four-match Test series. He said he wants to spend time with his family. “I haven’t seen my child for four months, so I’d like to spend some time with family right now,” he said after third T20I at the SCG.

I would love to see Pandya in the Test team: Warne

Former Australian bowling great Shane has heaped praise on India’s star all-rounder for his gameplay. Warne said he would love to see Pandya in the Test team considering his form.

“I will have Hardik Pandya in the Test side. It’s a bit of a surprise. I love him and I have said weeks ago that he is one of my top three players on the planet. I love him. He is awesome, and he certainly did what he did in the T20Is and one-dayers. Now everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and saying ‘how good is Hardik Pandya,” said Warne in an exclusive interview with Sports Tak.

“I would love to see him in the Test team. He is in such great form. With the loss of Virat Kohli, he brings a lot of things to the table — batting and maybe a few over of bowling. I think he helps the Indian team walk a bit taller. He is a bit of a rockstar. He has got that swagger, he is ‘Mr cool’ when he speaks you think he is from the West Indies,” he added.
