Hathurusingha expresses desire to become Bangladesh coach again

Former Bangladesh head coach Chandika  Hathurusingha has expressed his consent to be the Bangladesh head coach if he is offered to. The former coach also mentioned that he always have a very special place in his heart core for Bangladesh. Besides , he always keeps an eye on Bangladesh’s progress in cricket arena.

Chandika Hathurusingha was appointed as Bangladesh head coach in 2014. After he took over Bangladesh , Bangladesh emerged as a new superpower in cricket stage as they were beating the major teams and running series. But it was 2017, when he suddenly resigned from his post and took over Sri Lanka national team.

It was rumoured that Hathurusingha had a bitter relationship with the senior players in national team and for the inconvenience with the senior players, he left over. But the head coach himself cleared the anticipation while talking in a interview with leading Bangladesh daily , ” The daily Star “.

” I had or have any personal agenda with anyone? For me, the Bangladesh national team is the most important! Whoever makes that team better, I supported.My resignation had nothing to do with players or the BCB board officials. It was a personal reason” Chandika Hathurusingha said.

Hathurusingha is now coaching the New South Wales Cricket team. He also worked with team previously. The Lankan coach has expressed his desire to join as the Bangladesh head coach once again when he was asked if he is offered to.

” Never say never! I have a very special place in my heart for Bangladesh people and the cricket team! So I’ll keep a keen eye on Bangladesh’s progress on the world stage.”
