“I do not know anything till now, how can I tell if something does not happen! Now I am going to BCB, I will go there and try to communicate,” BCB chief Nazmul Hassan said.

For instance, Tuesday morning in Dhaka has started with a massive blow as reports claim Bangladesh’s premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is going to be suspended by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for upholding match-fixing offer. The all-rounder is expected to get an eighteen-month ban from the ICC as punishment.

Two years ago, before an international match, Shakib received a fixing offer from a gambler. The cricketer, who refused to report immediately to the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Department, ACSU, hid it. The ICC will find out later by tracking the gamblers’ call records. Shakib has to face the punishment for taking the matter lightly and for upholding match-fixing offer.
