Shahadat Hossain’s ban is set to be reduced after he asked for forgiveness mentioning the situation of his mother, who is suffering from cancer.

A few days ago, Bangladesh fast bowler Shahadat Hossain posted a video on social media. asking for forgiveness for his past mistakes that led to a five-year ban. He also shared the news about his mother’s situation, who is suffering from cancer.

Just after a few days, Akram Khan informed to the media that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has accepted his apology considering the situation of his mother and told that they are working to reduce his ban. He is likely to be able to play in the upcoming NCL as well.

After hearing the news, Shahadat thanked the cricket board and said that he will never get involved in controversies again in his career.

“I came to know from the media that BCB have made the decision to reduce my punishment. If the board gives me the opportunity to play again, I will be forever grateful to them. I will never do such things again which will hurt the reputation of the board.”

“NCL is likely to take place soon and I am hopeful that I will be able to play there if BCB gives permission. Everyone please keep me in your prayers,” Shahadat added.

Shahadat was banned for five-years after he was involved in a fight against a team-mate during a domestic match.
