However the center of pandemonium lies in the absence of red color of Bangladesh flag in the jersey.

The head of Bangladesh Cricket Board Nazmul Hasan Papon tried to declutter the situation. On Tuesday, he announced that the International Cricket Council has permitted to change the jersey and that Bangladesh will step into the field during World Cup 2019 wearing the changed one.

“It is the rule is to send a newly designed jersey to ICC. BCB working committee delivered the latest jersey to them which was that has been criticized right now. The difference was we depicted jersey numbers and cricketers’ names in red. But ICC objected about the red color and asked to change those in whites. So we had to do as accordingly,” BCB President explained.

Mr. Nazmul Hasan revealed BCB called for a pair of options to change the jersey;

“The one is whether it can be possible to permit the previously designed one with numbers and names in red. And secondly is to find an alternative of that one. ICC has informed us that we can change the jersey,” he said.

BCB head therefore clarified they are not willing to get back into further complications regarding the matter.

“After ICC nodded in positive about the change, we could easily get back into the old one. But I’ve asked for a totally new design. And Akram Khan (Operations Committee Chairman, BCB) has showed me the one with red patches in chest upon which ‘Bangladesh’ is to be written in white. Apart from that, red patches will be in hand and the sides of trousers,” he added.
