Imrul loses spot in the squad of tri-series

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was earlier announced 16-men squad for the first two matches of the tri-nation series, involving hosts Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. At the end of a successful first phase campaign, BCB has decided to keep 15-members unchanged from the squad except dropping Imrul Kayes. Imrul loses spot from the squad of tr-series
On Friday evening, BCB announced 15-member squad for the third and fourth matches of the Rocket Bangladesh-Sri Lanka-Zimbabwe series 2018.

Imrul Kayes who was out of part of the first two matches playing XI due to thumb injury, finally lost his spot. Selectors have decided to send him to play in domestic cricket for making sure of his fitness issue.

After two dominating victories, Bangladesh are ahead of other participating teams in the race of final match of tri-series. Bangladesh are top of the table with two extra bonus points, which means that Tigers are qualify for the finals. Before the final match, Tigers will play two more matches against the two visiting teams- Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.

Mashrafe and his company will face Zimbabwe on 23 January. One day later, they will take on Sri Lanka on 25 January. The tri-series will come to end with the final match on 27th of January which will take place at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in above mentioned time.

Bangladesh squad for tri-series:  Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (captain), Shakib Al Hasan (vice-captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman, Anamul Haque, Nasir Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Rubel Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mohammad Mithun, Abul Hasan Raju and Sunzamul Islam.
