Imrul, Mushfiqur fit to play in second round of BCL
Bangladesh is scheduled to travel to Pakistan today at evening for Rawalpindi Test. But the reliance of middle-order of Bangladesh Mushfiqur Rahim and top-order batsman Imrul Kayes won’t be part of the team.
Mushfiqur Rahim had removed himself from the tour of Pakistan on security issues. Also he could not able to play in the first round of the frachise-based domestic tournament Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL).
Meanwhile, Imrul Kayes also suffered from injury and did not play in the first round of the BCL due to that injury. But the good news is, Imrul Kayes and Mushfiqur Rahim will play in the second round of BCL.
BCB doctor Debashis Chowdhury on Tuesday said they were fit to play. They passed the fitness test.
The second round of the BCL will begin next Friday. Imrul will play for Islami Bank East Zone. Mushfiqur is in the North Zone, which is under the supervision of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as they got no franchise.
In the second round of the BCL, Walton Central Zone will face Mushfiqur’s team BCB North Zone. The match will be held at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The other match will be played at the Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox’s Bazar. BCB South Zone will play against Islami Bank East Zone.
