In exclusive poll, fans to choose Australia’s WC 2019 jersey
Cricket Australia has launched an unique poll to let fans decide the jersey to wear for the Australia national team in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
The new poll contains eight options to choose for the fans ranging from the early 1980s to early 2002s. The most voted one will be Australia’s kit this summer.
Fans are to choose the one from –
- The 1981-84 World Series Cricket jersey.
- 1986-87 Perth Challenge jersey,
- 1988-92 Baseball Style,
- 1992 World Cup jersey,
- , 1992-94 Lightning Bolts,
- 1996 World Cup jersey,
- 1999 World Cup jersey
- 1999-2001 Blue Stripe.
The poll will run over the next week. According to CA statement, each day, two famous kits will be presented to fans in their original form with votes to be counted across the cricket.com.au website, CA Live app and social media platforms.
Over the next week, cricket fans will have the chance to select the retro ODI kit to be worn by the Aussie Men’s Team next summer!

The response on social media was overwhelmingly positive and the Aussie players were also enthusiastic about the poll.
“It’s pretty awesome actually,” paceman Peter Siddle said.
“We found out the other day we were going to be in it, so the boys were a bit excited to get their pack and open up and check it out. Everyone is very impressed,” he said.
Australia have a total of ten one day international matches left before the World cup of which they will play India in five matches and the other five will be played against Pakistan.
